CROSSROADS

Last night's Celebrate Recovery message given by Gabi Clark remains on my mind this morning. Sometimes my crossroads are evident - for example, when I'm  making a major decision - but many times it's all the little decisions that lead me to my path in life.  Simple choices such as: Today, I can chose to forgive, be thoughtful, do a kind gesture, say kind words, apologize,  and give a helping hand OR I can chose to be critical, unforgiving, defeated, defensive and say unkind words... ALL these little things together add up over time and make me who I am today and affect the relationships I have with others. Gabi highly recommends writing in a journal to observe our patterns. So here it is, I am Writing in the Blogger, which is similar to journaling but shared with you instead of being private and never shared.

There are a few key points in my life I like to write about / God / family / health / work. Mostly, I love to start my day with a quiet time of fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Today, the word of the Lord came to me through Jeremiah 33 : 2-3. Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. WOW - what an amazing God we have - that He would share great and mighty things with us - if we just call out to HIM!

My GOD questions: Today, I would like to know how I can be a better person, who will help me support and build my business of real estate, and I also want to know if my dream (the one I woke up with from last night) has any real meaning for my life or if it was just a comedy of humor for me to enjoy.  On a more specific note, I would like to know why my computer mouse is working intermittently - I can't seem to find a place for replacing batteries and the mouse is only a few months old.

HMMMmmm - after reviewing my questions - which are not very profound - they don't sound like they would produce the great and mighty things that God wants to share with me - Hhmmm. So I ask, GOD, what do YOU want to share with me today?

I am listening...

POSITIVE RESULTS

Today, I awoke with a timely phone call from Karin who prayed with me, speaking health and healing to every nerve and fiber of my body.  God's word is so amazing, He said when we pray asking for anything good - He is faithful to provide. For if our earthly father knows how to give good gifts, we can expect even better from our heavenly father. I am happy to report I am up and moving.
Today, I plan to meet with the Market Leader at the KW Mission Viejo office then drive down to San Diego to spend some time with my dear friend Neki who is generously donating one of her kidneys.

I believe in PRAYER!

Also, I am happy to report positive results on my daughter's biopsy.

UPDATE and Prepartion for Passover Celebration

EMMA's Surgery Was Quick. She was able to return home the same day! AND Tiffaney is home waiting for biopsy results. We are expecting positive results for both my daughter and granddaughter. For me, I have had a very difficult week with fatigue and walking. Treatments with the chiropractor seem to make my muscles spasm more often and I continue to have extreme hip pain.

I am coming up on my 23 anniversary when I received the official diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis - Good Friday, April 7, 1992. I am continuing to believe God's will for my life is complete healing. My vision includes energy, agility, financial prosperity and availability to meet the needs of family, home and work on a daily basis. Charity is a vital part of my vision. Helping the homeless and children with medical needs are just two ways we are giving back to our local community. Did you know that I have dream to give away a total of $1,000,000 earned from real estate transactions?

This Spring we began early celebration for Passover Seder with our small group from Saddleback Church. Our fellowship and discussions included reflections of the past year as well as all the amazing things God has done in our lives. April prepared the delicious lamb, Sally made a sweet Haroseth, Lanae and Frank provided the Matzo crackers and grape juice and I brought the parsley and horseradish (bitter herbs). The teaching on the Last Super was very insightful. I am looking forward to the upcoming series on Daring FAITH!

UPCOMING SURGERY

Wishing I could be there for my daughters but another trip to Florida and Hawaii is not in my immediate future. So I am putting both families in the hands of God and believing for His best.

Our little Emma is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday. Please come back for updates on her condition. The surgery is to improve her ability to walk with a walker. This grandma is believing she will dance!

Also, my daughter, Tiffany is scheduled for breast biopsy next week. This is the second breast lump found. The previous one was benign and we expect the same results.

I appreciate your continued prayers for my health. I am still struggling with fatigue and hip pain. My daughter and a dear friend have mentioned that I should have a sleep study - if you have had one done - please let me know. I am curious about the process.

TIME IS a PRECIOUS COMMODITY when living with MS

SAVING, SPENDING and INVESTING time is a very important topic for me. Helping co-workers, clients, family and friends understand MS fatigue has been challenging. I discovered most tend to think I have the same abilities OR severely restricted abilities. The TRUTH is a little of both - depending on the activity. I'm kind of like the cat who sleeps more than it's owner.

SAVINGS - Sleeping is MY SAVINGS PLAN. When I am rested, I have the energy and abilities similar to my peers! For example, my work is focused and family is a priority.

DOING THE MATH - We all have 24 hours or 1440 minutes everyday. Most of us sleep 6 - 8 hours approximately 360 to 480 minutes everyday. For me to remain healthy and active, a large portion of my minutes are spent sleeping, that is approximately 10 - 12 hours each day. The ten to twelve hours each day totals 4200 to 5040 hours a week. On average - I have 28 fewer hours lost to sleeping. Often I imagine what I could do with an additional 28 hours each week! GOLF - ART CLASSES - and GARDENING are among the things I would add to my activities.


SPENDING - My energy is at it's highest when I can be creative and flexible. YES, I seem to have more time and energy when I am creating beautiful, cozy, comfortable and functional environments. Also, I find more energy when spending time with family and friends playing games, resting, reading and discussing life.

MY Source for INVESTMENTS - Overall, my central nervous system isn't wired like a healthy person, and the signals are constantly corrupted and move slower. This is especially true in temperatures above 80 degrees. Also, due to balance issues, my body struggles to navigate tight spots and to keep me up right, often movement depletes my energy much more than a healthy person. Sometimes walking feels similar to walking upstream in a fast current. I consistently rely on God's resurrection power to accomplish each days activities. Where I invest my precious time and energy -my GOLD, is determined by leading of the Holy Spirit, which has brought me many blessings as I follow His direction.

REFLECTIONS and Counting My BLESSINGS

Today, I am blessed to have the opportunity to rest after a very busy week BUT I must confess it took some adjustment before I accepted days like today as a blessing. As I open my heart and eyes in efforts to see life from different perspectives, I realize ALL of US have similar experiences where change and unexpected events toss us about the sea of life. Yesterday, Lanae Baker and I were able to be with out dear friend Sally Cameron while waiting at the hospital for an update on Sally's father's diagnosis and prognosis. My prayers and heart goes out to Sally, Kent and family, as her dear father passed yesterday evening around 6:20.

Three Great Days

Hello.
Quick update - Thursday evening Greg and I attended Saddleback's Night of Worship - WOW - and prayer for healing. I felt so refreshed. The unrelenting pain in my right hip diminished. Friday was even better and I had a good day showing a couple of properties. Saturday morning, I attended our small group Bible study at Sonja's home. We had a great time in the word and prayer for one another. Today, I am still going strong and do not have any hip pain! Please continue to pray and stand in faith with me for healing and wisdom, as well as work with an offer and opening escrow on Via Zapador, 2 more listings, and I hope to get the lease listing on a 5 bedroom in Mission Viejo.

I have been feeling good. Yesterday, I listed 42 Via Zapador.

On January 28, 2015, I asked for 60 days of prayer! In just two weeks, I began to receive God's blessings in my life and business.

I completed training for Celebrate Recovery Leadership at Saddleback Church. I truly enjoyed my trip to Florida and time with my kids. I was able to care for Payton and Emma over night, spend a day at Universal Studios with their family, and attended many of the Keller Williams seminars.


During the seminar, I had help creating updated real estate sign with the newer KW logo! What do you think?

I'm asking for prayer to receive God's healing in my right hip and energy to complete all God wants for me to be doing and the resources to bless others. Please continue to stand in faith with me believing God for a quick closing on current listing AND two more listings with closed sales in the next three months. As you stand in faith praying for me - know I am standing with you - lifting your requests to the Throne Room! I LOVE YOU!

Why did God allow this to happen?

I woke up this morning with a profound sense of "Why God?"
While spending time wondering WHY - and asking, "WHY did God allow this to be in my life?" I came up with some logical reasons such as;
that's life, we live in a broken world, everyone experiences difficulties...

BUT really deep down I question the logic - God loves me, God is sovereign and Romans 8:28 says all things work together for the good of those who love Him - right? SO, tell me the REAL REASON for the problems in my life --- I want to know MY - WHY?

WHY do I have limitations that most people do not experience; challenging day to day health problems - fatigue and at times limited mobility.
WHY did my grandchild have birth defects and why did we experience the loss of a precious baby (Harold lived for less than one hour)?

THEN I looked up Romans 8:28 and I read something very different! >
- In all things, God works together with those who love him to bring about what is good —
"hmmm".

My conclusion: Life is not about why! AND problems are not about me!
Today, MY ONE THING: I will be aware of God's presence and love for everyone in my life.

Today, I pledge to work with God to bring love, hope, healing, joy and peace to this broken world.

Orlando and Keller Williams Family Reunion

This week, I'm taking advantage of a wealth of information from our premiere real estate agents at the KW Family Reunion in Orlando Florida. Today I enjoyed the topic on trends in real estate marketing - WHAT NOT TO DO. I've never been interested in mailing cards and flyers that go into the trash bin - I prefer to go GREEN and save trees. - I have a lot to learn about internet marketing, APPs, YouTube, etc. My AMERICAN LIFESTYLES MAGAZINE has been my exception to printed materials. I enjoy the great articles, I hope you do too. If you are not on my mailing list and would like to receive yours, please let me. WHO could think of tossing prior to reading?

AND while in Orlando, I enjoyed a day at Universal Studios with my daughter, Amber, her husband, Nick and grandchildren Emma and Payton. We enjoyed several rides including Despicable Me and Minion Mayhem, Shrek -4D, ET Adventure and Woody Woodpecker's roller coaster. Not to mention the crazy show FEAR FACTOR. During the second challenge - a large slimy octopus landed on Emma's wheel of her chair - she quickly pushed her chair away - as if to say - YUCK - I'm not getting near that thing!

MORE THAN Survive but THRIVE - Five Years

I woke up today feeling blessed as I thought of you. A dear friend of mine reminded me that my days of weaknesses lend more compassion toward you during the challenges you face. I know some of you are facing a difficult day. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Perhaps my weakness can become your strength. I sure hope so, because you really do matter to me.

Today my share is about - MORE THAN Survive - THRIVE - the past Five Years! No, Greg and I have not been married for FIVE years and Greg certainly has not complicated my life. However, FIVE years ago, I left my position as a school psychologist and FIVE Years ago a very special little girl entered into our world, Emma Lou Rose Foster. She was born on February 11th, 2010. This when I began the blog - WHEN LIFE GETS COMPLICATED.

I can not believe it has been FIVE years since her birth at UCSF. Since her birth, she has endured and recovered from several surgeries due to Spina Bifida. We have seen many miracles in her life! Please continue to pray for Emma as she is scheduled for another surgery on March 19. > I am praying for her complete ability to stand and walk with minimal support. She is one amazing little girl.

After leaving my position, using FMLA family leave from work to support my daughter, Lexi, I applied for Long-Term-Disability due to fatigue and complications from Multiple Sclerosis. Four years ago, I moved to the beautiful city of Rancho Santa Margarita located in Orange County. RSM is where I found an enjoyable life in the cooler moist air. On a path of health and healing, 3 years ago, I obtained my real estate license. As you probably know, I love Home and Garden channel and can watch Property Brothers 24 - 7! Since obtaining my license, I developed my name and marketing materials. My web pages are complete - YES - web pages! I have 6 of them if you count Facebook business pages.

I am DREAMING BIG! I hope someday in the near future to have my own brokerage in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. I believe every day we can rely on the resurrection power through Jesus Christ, I ask the Holy Spirit to bring healing strength with wisdom and direction to your life as well as my life and my real estate business. Currently, I am working toward my certificate as a Global Property Specialist. I am expecting to see amazing miracles in 2015.
