Recently, Real Estate listings have been lacking -
With income down and health challenging my early morning wake up, I started driving UBER when I feel rested, over the weekend.
UBER Is giving me opportunities to meet people I would otherwise never know and see neighborhoods and amazing homes all across Orange County, as well as a little extra income for groceries, travel money and air fare to visit grandchildren. So far, I'm liking this opportunity to earn a little more cash.

MY thoughts on OUR HUMAN FRAILTY (continued)
SOOO the other night, I was out later than expected as someone requested a ride from a local concert venue. They requested rides to Yorba Linda and La Habra - a good hour away and it was after midnight.
- On the way home, around 2 am in La Habra, I met BRENDA. As I pulled up to the stop light, I glanced over at items on the side walk. The were some boxes, newspaper, and a grocery cart. As I looked a little closer, I noticed movement. Peering out of the dark, were two beautiful eyes.
My first thought - I can give her my tip money.
Full of compassion and energy, I slowly approached her after parking my car in a well lit area at the corner gas station. My fist full of tip money. I said hello and asked, "How can I help you?"
She replied, "I don't have anything to wash my hands. I would like to have some water, towels and tissue for my nose." "My nose is bothering me."
Taking my fist full of cash, I promptly purchased two bottles of water, a large roll of paper towel, and a nice box of soft tissue. When I returned, she was trying to find a clean place to put these items. Obviously not an easy task when living on the sidewalk. She looked cold so I offered her my prized sweater that my son had given me for Christmas. I was relieved that she said no and showed me her sweater on top of the cart.
I thought it odd when she asked if I were Catholic or Christian since we both believe in Jesus and follow his teachings. I answered, "I am a Christian." She said, "Oh, I am Catholic." then she smiled. I was taken by her beauty and commented how beautiful she is. She shook her head and said, "no". We exchanged names and that is when I asked Brenda if I could pray for her.
It broke my heart to see her alone and lacking a soft comfortable safe place to sleep. I cried out to God and I cried all the way home wondering what happened that led to this lifestyle. She did not want me to call anyone. She did not want the attention or police as she said she did not want to go back to jail. So alone - so sad -
On the way home, I realized that this could be me - if it were not for government programs, my family support and friends who have helped me in my time of need. When I arrived home, I gave my husband Greg a big hug because I was not alone; I thanked God for the comfortable bed that we have and for the ability to close my eyes and sleep without fear.
NOTE: Isaiah 58:7-11 When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own family. If you take the yoke away from your midst, the finger-pointing and you feed the hungry and satisfy the afflicted person, then your light will rise like the sun in obscurity and your darkness will be like the noonday and LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your very being in drought, and relieve your bones.
